Just after 2300hrs, CVFC was alerted for a Structure Fire in the Town Limits of Cecilton. Truck 1 and Ambo192 arrived to find a 2-story single family dwelling with fires showing from the A/B corner. Truck 1 grabbed the hydrant to secure their own water supply. Rescue 1, Utility 1 and Chief 1 arrived shortly after and assisted with pulling 3 handlines and advancing them to the structure. Crews made entry and began fire attack on the first floor and second floor. Additional apparauts arrived and began assisting with fire attack. Crews worked to bring the fire under control and completed salvage and overhaul. With the extremely cold weather, SHA responded with a load of salt to help with the icy areas around the apparatus. MSP assisted with shuting down the roadway to traffic. Assistance was received by Galena, Millington, Hacks Point, Chesapeake City, Singerly of Elkton, Vol Hose of Middletown and Townsend. Chestertown VFC transferred an engine into Sta 1 for regional coverage.
